#3. Eligibility Criteria for RBI Assistant Recruitment 2017

A. Age Limit (01.10.2017)

1. Minimum Age: 20 years. (born not after 01.10.1997)
2. Maximum Age: 28 years. (born not before 02.10.1989)

B. Educational Qualification

1. At least a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.
2. A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.
3. Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
4. It is necessary that you have a basic knowledge of Word Processing on PC.

#4. Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure – RBI Assistant Recruitment 2017

The selection process for RBI Assistant Recruitment 2017 will be through two stages of Online Examinations and a Language Proficiency Test. Note:

1. All sections, except the English language, will be available bilingually (both Hindi and English).
2. There will be sectional cut offs as well as overall cutoffs.
3. There will be negative marking. A penalty of 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

A. Preliminary Exam Pattern

This will be a 100 mark paper with a composite time of 1 hour. It will be an online objective test.

B. Main Exam Pattern

Those who qualify through the Prelims Exam are eligible to write the Mains Exam. This will be a 200 mark paper with a composite time of 2 hours. It will be an online objective Test.

1. There will be negative marking of 1/4th marks in the RBI Assistant Mains Exam.
2. The Mains Exam will be conducted Bilingually, i.e., English & Hindi.
3. Once you qualify in this exam, you will be called for the Language Proficiency Test.

C. Language Proficiency Test

1. All those who qualify in the RBI Assistant Mains will have to undergo a Language Test.
2. The Language Proficiency Test will be conducted in the Official Language of the particular State.
3. Final Selection will be based on the RBI Assistant Mains Exam + Biometric Verification + Language Proficiency Test.
